Early morning scrub on the beach !!

We beached the Mona Lisa the other morning for a scrub down and to repair the bow thruster.
She sat on the mud very nicely but I can't say working in the mud was much fun and happier times came when she floated again and we gave her a blast North around the bays :-)

Summer Boat Trips in Ramsgate

Summer Boat Trips in Ramsgate

What a fab couple of weeks we have had with the sun shining brightly, although we
Did have to run a couple of cruises in-between the hail stones but the Mona Lisa is a great vessel and is very warm and dry !

The romantic evening cruise is going down a storm with lots of romance in the air, must be the Strawberries and Champers along with the fantastic Mona Lisa and great views of the Kent Coast line.

We was also chartered for a photo shoot which worked really well, in fact so well that we have been chartered again by the company for a shoot in September.
The seals are on top form and seem to be very active at the moment swimming and splashing about in the water around the boat.

We have had some fantastic endorsements that can be viewed on our website www.galleoncruises.com, also see the attached pictures of what you are missing out on.

We only have a few dates left in August and also September is looking like a busy month.

You have to charter us in advance with full payment to secure booking, so don’t delay to avoid disappointment.

Check out www.galleoncruises.com for full details and contact details.

Don't forget we sell gift vouchers for those unique gifts

Happy Sailing – Hope to see you on board the Mona Lisa soon

Cruise Details
Before setting sail from the charming Royal Ramsgate Harbour you will be warmly welcomed on board the Mona Lisa with a complimentary glass of champagne.

The skipper will navigate north towards the North Foreland lighthouse and once clear of the break waters will increase speed to a comfortable cruising speed and start your cruise out to the biggest offshore wind farm in the world. The Mona Lisa’s sonar will be on so that you will be able to monitor the changing sea bottom and also see any wrecks or shoals of fish that we pass over.

Sit back and relax while we blast through the open waters, taking full view of the beautiful Kent coastline as we bayblast on out into the deeper water.
The wind farm site does have some restrictions and we need to keep 500m away from the site. This is not problem as the site is so large that being too close does not give you the full picture of this engineering structure. You will also see the large sub station that all the wind turbines are connected to.

The water depth varies between 20m – 30m dependent of state of tide, and the farm is very exposed to the elements. The Mona Lisa is the ideal vessel due to her size, enclosed cockpit and upper deck heating. The skipper of the Mona Lisa is also a skipper of one of the windfarm support vessels, and has been on the project since the start so has a good knowledge of the site.
